Software
All our software is designed to be intuitive, easy to use while packed with features that users want. The same software (CrystalDetect) controls UVEX-M, UVEX-P or the plate hotels. The user interface is built up of layers so that new layers are turned on when we go from UVEX-M to UVEX-P and from UVEX-P to Plate Manager. Just as the hardware can be easily upgraded from UVEX-P to the hotels, the software also is updated with a few keystrokes. The buttons and settings are easy to understand and straightforward. Software updates are easily done through remote connection. Software can be readily transferred from one Windows computer to another.
In plate hotels the occupied locations are color coded to indicate if their residents are in the scan schedule, have not yet been added to the schedule, or have been through their full schedule, whether they have been marked for one time imaging, etc. Plates that don’t need to be stored or that may not fit in the storage racks can be moved to the microscope from the loading port and imaged. Users can search for plates using many criteria, including barcodes, which makes plate management a breeze. Multiple buttons allow users to move plates, image or remove from storage. Third-party barcodes are easily incorporated into the database via a user-friendly settings panel.
WebView, a browser-based image management software can be accessed from any networked computer with proper credentials. The number of simultaneous users is limited only by the network bandwidth and the capability of the server. The landing page can be tailored by administrator to include as many fields as necessary. A powerful search function allows boolean searching by many different variables such as a screen condition, name, score, annotation, etc. Auto scoring function also is available.
PlateView provides overview of the entire plate and in DropView, subwells can be inspected in greater detail, and zooming; brightfield and UV images can be overlapped, and interesting features can be measured. Drop history and individual slices can be viewed. Drops can be scored and searchable, well-level comments can be added. Reports can be generated for record keeping and presentation.
